Herein, a numerical analysis of 1 × 2 demultiplexer based on silica-titania integrated photonics platform is conducted via the finite element method. The structure composed two coupled racetrack microrings (RTMRs) and subwavelength grating (SWG) for demultiplexing 1310 nm 1550 telecommunication wavelengths. material selected this design highly attractive due to its refined optical, physical, chemical properties. Moreover, sol-gel thin-films can be deposited glass substrates with dip-coating proposed device has small footprint 84 125 μm2 offers crosstalk as low ~−6.6 dB ~−9.04 nm, respectively. We are convinced that study promotes use development low-cost on-chip optical communication devices signal multiplexing demultiplexing.
